All-Natural Insect Repellent for
Dogs Do NOT use essential oils on toy breeds or cats without first consulting a holistic veterinarian for safety protocols - many essential oils are toxic to toy breeds and cats!! Mix 3 drops of each of the following essential oils
into 16 oz. of distilled water and
spritz onto your dog's coat (avoiding the eyes!) as needed...
This mixture smells great and is safe to use repeatedly! You can use it on your human family also! As an alternative, you can use a few drops of Eucalyptus & Citronella Oils, mixed with 1 tsp. of olive oil, rubbed into your dog's coat (put the olive oil onto your palm, add the essential oils, mix together by rubbing your hands together, and then rub into your dog's entire coat) to repel mosquitoes, or a few drops of Tea Tree oil rubbed into the coat (especially the legs and belly) to repel ticks.
