Recipe Files using Essential Oils Healthy Pets Coming Soon: Links |
Setting up a Natural Cleaning Supply Closet As we began learning about
the cleaning qualities of certain natural products and started experimenting, we
developed a list of supplies that we recommend you should have on hand to create
your products. These items include: White Vinegar
– Heinz is an example of a brand that is derived from distilled grains. Baking Soda
– We recommend buying this in the large box. Washing Soda
– This product is often found near the laundry detergents in supermarkets and
health food stores. Borax
– Great for strengthening cleaning power! Essential Oils – These differ from fragrance or perfume oils. Essential oils are volatile oils of plants found in health food stores, some specialty shops and on the Internet. (See Chart B for a list of our favorite essential oils for use in natural home cleaning and their properties). We’ve included more information below on using essential oils in your homemade cleaning products. Containers - You will need spray bottles and other storage containers. These items come in plastic and glass, and in a variety of sizes. They can be found in supermarkets, health food stores, container stores, and other miscellaneous stores at very low cost.
