Recipes for Bath and Body Bath Salts 3 parts Epsom Salts 2 parts Baking Soda 1 part Sea Salt
Mix the above ingredients thoroughly. From this base you can create a wide variety of bath salts. To the above you can add color - powdered food coloring works best (if you can find it - usually in the cake decorating section of some hobby stores). If you cannot find powdered, a couple drops of liquid food coloring will work.
Use essential oils as desired - you can either use some of the Young Living Blends, or mix your own. My favorite pre-made blends include Joy and Purification. To add essential oils to the bath salt base, use approximately 10 drops to 1/2 cup of the mix.
Other favorites to add include Clary Sage, Lavender, and any of the citrus oils.
Body and Dusting Powder 3/4 cup arrowroot powder 1/4 cup cornstarch 25 drops essential oils of your choice
Mix the above with a mortar and pestle or in a blender – Mix Very Well!
Spa Foot Powder This scrub is ideal for feet, and you can apply it to other rough areas such as elbows and knees.
In bowl, warm up 1/2 cup body oil in microwave, about 30 seconds. Stir in 1 cup brown sugar and 4 drops EACH of Lemon and Ginger essential oils. Soak feet in basin to soften skin. Apply mixture generously with loofah, rubbing gently in a circular motion to remove dead skin. Rinse well; pat dry. Apply moisturizer while still slightly damp; allow to absorb.
Anti Wrinkle Oil 2 Tablespoons Almond Oil Splash of Olive Oil Splash of Jojoba Oil 6
drops Clary Sage 6
drops Sweet Fennel 4
drops Geranium 4
drops Lavender 2 drops Roman Chamomile
After cleaning, massage a small amount of oil onto face.
Scar Reducer The following blend was developed working with three friends who had surgery - all in the neck region where they wanted the scars to heal and not be noticeable.
20 drops Helichrysum 5 drops Sandalwood 3 drops Myrrh 3 drops Cypress 5 drops Lavender 3 drops Frankincense
This fits well into a 2 ML glass bottle. Carry with you and stroke a drop of the blend on the scar several times a day.
